As a therapist, I can understand the anxiety and fear surrounding your decision to seek therapy for yourself. I would like to partner with you as you navigate your world. My experience enables me to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. I treat a number of mental health disorders, and provide a neutral ground to individuals and families.
As a therapist, I provide an eclectic approach to counseling, with a belief that in order to understand the present, one must understand his or her past. I operate from a strengths-based perspective because I believe both children and adults are resilient and given the right tools, can solve their own problems. My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a warm, safe and cozy space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004 from St. Norbert College, a small liberal arts school located in De Pere, WI. After graduating, I spent 10 years working in the community as an AmeriCorp VISTA (Volunteer In Service to America) at the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension, Care Coordinator for Wraparound Milwaukee, a Recovery Support Case Specialist for WCS, and a Case Manger for The Salvation Army. I have also worked as a Crisis Stabilizer and Mentor for various mental and behavioral health agencies throughout Milwaukee County. In 2011 I decided to return to school to get my Master's Degree at Concordia College. I graduated in 2014 with an Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling. Under clinical supervision, I received my 3,000 hours of post graduate experience, working with children and adults with various mental health issues and concerns. In 2019. I took and passed the National Counselor Examination (NCE).
